my winxp wont start.

    I have a big problem! :mad:
    when i want to start up xp.
    i get a message like this: a file is damaged.
    \windows\system32\config\system
    try to repair the file by using the instaal cd.
    and push r for repair.
    but when i do that i came in dos. and then i dont know what to do.
    pelase help me now. i mus get ready today
