My HijackThis Log

Well I tried to fix things but I really don't know what happened to this computer. It gets pop ups, changed homepages, items added to favorites, desktop shortcuts added, search tool bars, and just junk. Some names that I've seen repeatedly pop up to be cleaned on my software are people on page, bargain buddy, and look something or other. If anyone could help I would be grateful. After checking out the sticky here I updated the security measures and changed the prompts as recommended. Thank you in advance ^_^

As you have a number of issues, I suggest you proceed as follows:

First remove the Pepper Trojan.

Download and run:http://www.memorywatcher.com/uninst.exe
Double click on 'uninst.exe', let it run and terminate. You must be online to have this work.

Restart your machine.

Now, Download the latest version of Ad-Aware at http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

After installing AAW, and before running the program, you NEED to FIRST update the reference file following these instructions.

Now do the following:

- Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweak > Scanning Engine:
check: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

- Under Ad-aware 6 > Settings (Gear at the top) > Tweak > Cleaning Engine:
Check: Let Windows remove files in use after reboot.

Press Scan Now

- Check option "Use Custom scanning options"
- Check option "Activate In-Depth Scan"
- Press "Select drives\folders to scan"
- Select the active partition which is usually C:

Now press Next to let Ad-aware scan your drives... It will find a number of bad files and registry keys. Right-click in that pane and choose select all Now press Next again. It will ask you whether you'd like to remove all checked items. Click OK.

Finally, close Ad-Aware, and reboot. That ought to get rid of most of your spyware.

When you've done all that, restart your computer, re-run Hijack This, and show us a fresh log. There will be more to do!

Thank you for the reply ^_^ I'm afraid I have a stupid question right off though When you say 'check' as in 'check option in depth scan' do you mean to click it or make sure it has a little green check mark next to it?

Before you start, please unzip hijackthis to a separate folder. The program will make backups in the folder in the folder it's in.
These easily get lost in a Temp folder.

Check the items listed below in HijackThis, close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

Then reboot into safe mode and delete:
C:\Program Files\ClockSync <= entire folder
C:\WINDOWS\System32\wintsvcc.exe
C:\Program Files\REMOTE~1 <= the entire folder that holds Dvd Internet Ping.exe
C:\Program Files\WebRebates <= entire folder
C:\Program Files\AutoUpdate <= entire folder
C:\Program Files\CoalSlow <= entire folder
C:\WINDOWS\System32\mpndmod.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\kkfrex.exe

Then (still in safe mode) use the Disk Cleanup Utility to empty all your Temp folder.
