    Greeting's All,

I am frustrated trying to attach jpeg for post.

It uploads, and I see it under the "attach to post", but to no avail, it's not in the preview pane.

I've read the "How To" (active window, etc).

Is it too late or, I missed my Wheaties today? o_O

It's a laptop, and I'm not exactly sure how to hook the sub-commands.

A kingdom for a solution! Well, kind words anyway... :D

    Thanks in advance,
    GF

It 'does' upload and does not give an error, such as being over the size limit or such?

What is the exact file name and file size on your system prior to trying to upload?

Ran into the same frustration. You can't preview attachments.

    Hi GF, ;)

You won't see the attachment in the preview pane, it will only be attached when you submit the post.

The only way to see an image in the preview pane is when you're using img tags that links a pic from another url.

    ie: (IMG)http://www.wilderssecurity.com/images/misc/wilders_security_forums_logo.gif(/IMG) replace ( & ) with [ & ] [IMG]

    HTH, ;)

Correct as Dog says, no preview of 'attachments'...... only option to 'view' the attachment is once you hit the 'Submit Reply' button and it's then in the post itself.

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately, I'm not on my system at the moment (cheesy prodigy layout at work). :D

LWM, it's not that big, I think around 23kb, I'll post back later from my pc. ;)

Link IMG Tag, hmmm... (convienient), this happens from inside the ucp, correct?
Once I link the url, just capture the image with the cursor, OR..?

I've never tried this (for lack of need up to this point, image is for someone in this thread ?)

*puppy* or Tas (or LWM), could you give (nick s) and myself a brief scenario. (would help clear the foggy side of my head)

    Thanks Again Guy's,
    GF ;)

GF... sorry, just got home from work...

I think you are asking about attaching pic in post right.... but not from tags...

OK... hit reply as normal... have your screenshot ready, say on desktop.

    Type in your response....

Look at my screenshot... Hit Manage Attachments near bottom of the Reply post... A new window opens up.... click on browse.... go to and select your image, then click Upload...

You wil know when its done, then close that window.. and hit Submit Reply like normal...

see sample of pic uploaded next post...

    Maximum upload is 1Mb...

PS: I just uploaded that last pic to Image Shack and here is what you get.

You simply copy the URL you want/need for certain options... make sure you bookmark the page as once closed, you cannot find it easily again if needed.

    Mucho Gracias Senior, ;)

This is what I was looking for. Your upload screen is what I have. Trust the manage attachments force, ay?

Will give this a whirl aft work.

Image Shack, I recall this on various pages here at Wilders. Like I said, no need till now, so I'll check this out.

Hope this works for Nick S too. :D

    Thanks for the timely response,
    GF

    "S U C C E S S !"

"Guy's", that was too easy. The biggest problem was trusting the ucp's execution!

Take heed Nick, you must "put your trust in the force!"

I also took advice from MikeCBda ;) (how to post) and went 75% to drop screen real estate.

Viola! Worked like a champ. :D (one mole hill at a time)

    Thanks LWM (24.8kb) :) :D ;)

Thanks dog for clarifying the ucp and pointing out the IMG Tags. o_O :D ;) *puppy*

And thanks Mr. Devils for the additional info and xtra-effort. :D :D ;)

    Kindest of words to you "A L L !" (I'm a little short on kingdoms) :D

Thanks again, and Best, Gentle Folk,
    GF ;)
