multiplatform imaging tool?

    Is there any way to use 1 Windows XP image that can be restored to computers with diferent hardware?

    So hardware independent image..

    Image your XP before installing any drivers...? Right after format?

    sysprep

    however all computers must employ the same Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL)
    and Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) support.

    you can then either physically clone or cast over a network
    but those tools arent included (use Ghost or G4U)
