    :) Hi diamondh!

Pleased to meet you by the way!

What are you trying to update?? That is very important. The MSINET.OCX file you need will need to be added to the main folder of the program you are trying to update. Could this be one of Javacool's applications? If so, then post your problem to the appropriate forum there. If not, then e-mail the developer about this and ask them to help you. These files can also be accessed from Microsoft but I do not have the link right now.

    Best regards from Larry! ;)

    Ref: SPYWAREBLASTER
When I click on the "check for update" button I get an error message "Failed to load Inet from MSINET.OCX. Your version may be oudated."
Where do I get the updated version?

    :) Hi diamondh!

For starters I sent an IM to javacool on your behalf with a link to this thread. Next, I'll see what can be dug up at Microsoft. :D Microsoft is like a giant haystack full of little needles. It can be daunting to find stuff there. Maybe I'll get lucky?

    Best regards from Larry! :)

First, what version of Windows do you have.

Second, it probably is outdated so I'll grab a link to the newest version (please note that to prevent possible conflicts the SpywareBlaster installer only installs the MSINET.ocx file if it doesn't exist).

    Regards,

    -Javacool

Alright - download the file from here (select Save As): http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vb6/msinet.cab

Then, copy both files from the file you downloaded to any folder (but make sure you copy both to the same folder). To do this, highlight both files, right-click and select "copy". Then go to any folder and right-click and select "paste".

Right-click on the MSINET.INF file that you have now extracted and select "Install".

    Now SpywareBlaster should work. :)

    Regards,

    -Javacool

    :) Hi diamondh and javacool!

I got "lucky," but I see that it is not needed because the IM helped.

To diamondh: You are most welcome!

To javacool: Thanks for being so very quick! :)

    Best regards from Larry! ;)
