msgcv.dll backdoor

    hello,
    i am in need of some help. i have scanned my computer and found this file. using ewido online virus scanner i removed it. i ran another scan and it is there again, in fact no matter how many time i run the scan it is alway present. i did a search on thes forum as well as the web and find no information on the trojan. anyone have a idea as what i should do?

    I would recommend going to Emsisoft and downloading A-squaredFree to see if it can also find the trojan.... In the meantime, install Comodo's BoClean to catch it trying to activate. Also, posting in the "ewido" section of the forum may get a response.

    Google does have hits for msgscv.dll backdoor. Double check your spelling, note 2 S`s. Many times it is suggested to not only do your scans in safe mode but also disconnected from the Internet. Of course this precludes the use of any on line scanner.
