Yeah PE Guard and Emsisoft Anti-Malware are acing all the tests. They haven't failed any yet. Wish I could use PE Guard for my x64-system! Hoping for the promised support for it soon. Emsisoft Anti-Malware though... what a joke. It crippled my computer back to stone age. :thumbd:

Emsisoft Anti-Malware, BluePoint and PEGuard seems to be the kings and the same boring old story with DefenseWall, misses nothing:D. Hitman Pro is also doing pretty well barring one test, so is Prevx. Biggest surprise is though Immunet Protect Plus, doing very well, the tests probably surprised Immunet itself. Have no idea why SUPERAntiSpyware got into the tests though, it has missed almost everything so faro_O .

Or maybe it's doing well becouse Immunet Protect Plus is using BitDefenders signatures too :p

Yes, thats the biggest reason but it should also be observed that it has excelled in tests where BitDefender has failed so there is clearly more to IPP than just the BitDefender Engine. Moreover I would not get into "Engine Morality" if something has good detection and protecting me well. I would not care if it is using BitDefender, Avast, Ikarus, Rolls Royce or Mercedes Engine.;)

Rolls Royce uses engines made by BMW:)

As of next week, our flash tests will get a bit more sophisticated. Overall we are pleased with the results so far.

    Regards,
    Sveta

It would be nice if you could spruce up your presentation a bit more with, for each application the version, i.e. AVG 10.0.1036, and signature/database/defintion release, i.e. MBAM 4862.

What would be really interesting is a detail of which engine(s) made the hit(s) in Hitman Pro.

Can we conclude PC Tools AV Free is a dismal failure and you use their Spyware Doctor w/AV suite? You did that a little while ago and then switched back to Free. o_O

Looking forward to your bit more sophisticated tests. Good luck!

The information in bold is misleading for US banking customers.

In the US, if there is fraudulent activity on a bank account and funds are missing as a result, banks are required to replace the funds.
Same with credit cards, TOS between banks and CC companies, the requirement, in the event of fraudulent activity, to replace funds.
If thieves get your PIN and debit the money from your account, there are no requirements to replace funds, AFAIK.

So, in the US, You CAN restore your bank account!

I am eagerly waiting for new MRG test. Sometimes delay is more than 3 days.

Yeah SAS that really caught my eye... :doubt:

Hitman Pro is the future, multi-engine cloud scanning...

Now if they'd only make it into a scanner with Quick & Complete scans...

What you mean? It does have Quick scans and regarding Complete scans, it's been discussed here several times that it's pointless having HMP to do a "complete/thorough scan" when it actually looks into the most common places where malware hides itself, with a Default scan so that should be sufficient.

not only that, but it wouldnt be practical for Hitman Pro to do that, that would require INCREDIBLY large amounts of bandwidth to scan possibly hundreds of gigabytes of data from each persons computer and upload those files to the cloud.

That is not true. Hitman only uploads files that are considered 'suspicious'. The Hitman engine is so effective that it identifies almost only the malicious files, that the data transfers wouldn't be nearly as huge as you claim. :)
