    He doesn't seem to cover any negatives at all? How about how scary it is that addons can modify the browser on that kind of level? What happens when this is used maliciously, can you literally re-write the browser with an addon?

    You definitely need a strong vetting process if you're going to give extensions these rights.

    The problem is that there are unofficial extensions and you can always get linked to one/ tricked into installing one.

    It's a cool idea though.

    So do the hotfixes affect the browser outside of improving add-ons?
