I do. I have no need to store old redundant downloads, and I don't know why anyone else would either.
Something that was really bothering me in Firefox 57 was the lack of a close button on unselected tabs. This userChrome.css tweak solved that. The tweak will display the selected tab close button and the unselected tabs when hovered (Including Pinned Tabs). There is a small variation of the code that I am using that will display the selected tab close button and the unselected tabs when hovered (Excluding Pinned Tabs). It is just my personal choice not to display the close button on pin tabs when hovered. See what you prefer. I included the code in this post for convenience. Thanks to Matthias Schoettle (and Mike) for the code.
as 1000 others ^^ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=new tab&appver=57.0 then you currently should not use other download extensions. about those download "managers" - elite has its own list, download will appear in firefox. multi-thread need to be started with context menu, as its own lkist, insert files into history and delete items when deleting in its own windows. pity that downloads in history appear as "blob" -> extension. wx-downbar only has its bottom line, clear only clear its overlay. history is mandatory. multi-thread seems to be the sneakest extension for download, but it lacks progress indicator on button like elite or firefox has. note sure which one i would prefer, both have its advantages. multithread has granular settings for overtaking downloads, possible to use both this way. as pointed out elite download manager has some more options i like to use. sorry i cant help you further.
Oh Noz !! OMG ! WTF? Shameful, Sad. Very disturbing info. @Nanobot Thanks for posting. Any info that others, e.g., Chrome, Opera, IE, Edge have done similar ?
Internet Explorer is "good" here, no suspicions....yet or so far. Watching the resources w/Chrome. @21:34--he just put the next-to-last nail in the coffin for me Mozilla-wise. Sad because Firefox Quantum is (was?) amazing at the start. It was uninstalled about a week ago due to 13% constant CPU--I assumed from the same glitch that was affecting Edge. Don't know exactly what it was now, it was running in the Firefox open process. Surely, it was intervention of another kind. Appreciate the video, Nanobot.
I guess I am just resigned to this type thing - whether it be Microsoft, Kaspersky, or Firefox, political views and censoring are going to be thought to be present by someone. It all depends on which side of the issues you are on - whether you watch Fox News or MSNBC. I guess I am just a pessimist who doesn't like all this turmoil. I just use the programs which suit me best and ignore the rest. None of them are perfect.
Well, I think Mozilla's case is different given its prominent posturing. Google has made it pretty clear from day one that it wants to know all about you.
There’s the contradiction of their privacy posturing and of their promotion of individual expression. They can live with it; I’m not going to endorse/support them in their choice to do so. It’s a pain in the tookus to keep up with everything so as to take action to minimize exposure to such nonsense, but not doing so is an inferior choice. As it happens, I had just started using Fx again. I had stopped because of previous, similar acts by them. I should’ve examined Mozilla’s current state much more closely than I did. Shame on me. Thank you @Nanobot for the slap-in-the face/wakeup post.
In regards to the Looking Glass fiasco yes they made an "apology" post. https://blog.mozilla.org/firefox/update-looking-glass-add/

Some users found an unasked for extension installed on their system related to a "Mr. Robot" TV serial. Apparently, it was some sort of promo. Reddit users were first to go ballistic: https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/
