mozilla dont keep crash reports from about:crashes (sorry for the typo above) for ever.

according to the given link from Stupendous Man
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/crash-report

it should look like this

"bp-" means NOT submitted, others are submitted.
you need to submit otherwise there is only very little any helpful hand can do.

The r was missing in that one; that was a typo.
about:cashes gives the result you quoted.

I used about:crashes, not the obvious typo

In that same location, just a little below the other options you mentioned, there should be the "Automatically send crash reports" option. Did you mean that option didn't show? Are you sure you've scrolled down sufficiently to see that last option?

Yes I am sure I scrolled down, I scrolled the entire page. There is no "Automatically send crash reports" option.

Are you sure you didn't modify any of those preferences?
If you select "Show only modified preferences", only the modified preferences show.
