Seems to be working fine and faster.

Is there a way of changing the colour of the default theme instead of downloading other themes as the buttons etc look pretty cool i just dont like the colour.

faster to start than 2. feels generally faster in use. Only problem is one add on (Web Research) not working. looks like they may be using FF 3 as an excuse to get users to upgrade to their latest version.

Got it. I had been reading reviews done by beta testers about the "awesome" bar; now I know why they gave it that nickname. :thumb:

I'm probably missing something with ff3, but I thought I'd read somewhere that they were releasing it on Tuesday with the add ons working.
Little things such as Tab Mix Plus.
I've still got more extensions not working than the ones that do work.
However, what works is working well.
The 'finished' product is, in my opinion, nowhere near as polished as Opera 9.5.
    What a shame.

It's the responsibility of every addon programmer that his/her addon works with the new version.

TMP 0.3.6.1.080416 works very well for me.

Again, if some addons don't work as expected it's not Mozilla's fault.

    What else do you critisize?

I don't think he meant just the addons.

And i am guessing these 15,000 improvements were under the hood? I only see a couple new features that could have been done with extensions.

Is there a place to download version 2 again? All of my bookmarks are missing in this V.3. :'(

That's strange. I did backup my bookmarks just in case but I didn't need it. Firefox3 automatically had all my bookmarks on it.

Check this folder if the bookmarks are there. (account name and profile name should be changed to your account name and so on. You also need to show hidden files.)

    C:\Documents and Settings\account name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\profile name\bookmarkbackups

Maybe I'm just not appreciative enough, but really besides finally not crashing every 30 minutes like FF2 and being able to surf add-ons within the browser, I'm not very impressed. Is it faster? I can't tell to be honest, Firefox has always been very fast for me. This "Awesome Bar", well, maybe I haven't paid much attention to the URL bars, but I don't see a whole lot that it does that it and other browsers did before.

Seems to me they all allow your past URLs to come up if you never clean out history, which I do. I don't know, I LOVE not crashing, but otherwise, meh.

Copy and Paste this into Notepad.... ~See attachment. - Ron~

    and Save As "userChrome.css"

It changes the default color to black and font color to white.

You need to save it (in my case) to...

    C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\********.default\chrome

but I'm running Vista. I think it's different for XP.

    Later...

I criticize what ever I want. If we're not allowed to voice our opinions then why have forums.
Reading the news about ff3 over the past month, it appeared to be Mozilla that was saying the addons would be ready. I could be mistaken. But I still have a right to an opinion.
Enjoy yourself. It's a beautiful day.

Regardless of what Mozilla itself said, at the end of the day, the biggest majority of add-ons are created by people at home during their off-time. So, even though Mozilla may ask add-on creators to start preparing for a new release, they can't force them to, the creators get around to it whenever they get around to it. Don't blame Mozilla for the creators of add-ons' laziness.

This is the best present EVER!!!!! Thank you!!!!! *commences rolling around on the floor and clapping like a child on their first Christmas*....Now that that's over with I'll be on my way to the other sections of the forum.

By the way, I will LMAO from here to Paris if they by some insane rip in the fabric of time manage to NOT get a record of most downloads in a day when there is no previous record to beat.
