It will be available at 10am PDT in the U.S, which means I have to wait until 1pm to get the darn thing. As far as conflicts between Opera and Firefox 3, none that I've heard so far.

Perhaps I'm paranoid, but I shall wait until it's from the official website :)

Firefox 3 is up and running here.
Several ad-ons i had used on 2, are not compatible, including my beloved "404 page not found" and "FasterFox" also the Realplayer plugin.
There is only one theme,at present.
(and I am not fond of It.)
Only thing I found I just could not live without in the add-ons for FF3,was the PicLens photo/video/thingy.
I found that I really could live without it,as open or closed it runs 50-60 percent of CPU. Does the same on IE7.
Memory use seems about the same.
    IT IS FASTER!
It opens some faster, and pages load very quickly.
It reminds me of when i had cable, rather than DSL.
    So,"FasterFox" is not needed!

Lol, I got this bad feeling in the pit of my stomach that this download record is going to be a pain in the butt. The last few attempts to even reach the page have been unsuccessful.

The home page is still showing version 2. I guess that 10:00AM release time didn't take.

Mozilla sites/servers are unavailable at the moment . Wondering if they can afford the peak and the traffic and if it is possible to achieve a world record without server crashes ...

It appears that there is a capcity or load balancer issue. I'll check back later at http://www.mozilla.com to get the final version. As I am successfully running FF3RC3 at this time, there is no particular hurry. :)

It's as good as dead, my Firefox choked just waiting for their server to answer. I don't think they thought this through, for one thing, it's now into the 18th in many parts of the world, and, in this 24 hour period, the deadline will pass for them. For another, if they can't keep the servers up, people are going to give up, they'll get busy with general life, and they may miss the deadline. I don't know, we'll just have to see. They honestly should have just stuck to doing what they do best, which is releasing a great browser, not trying to stick their names in a book.

There's all these links floating out there, but they're all RC for testers. The links were taken from mozilla ftps that were updated left week. If you look at the file size of filehippo, RC3 and final are exactly the same to the last byte.
