    9.1 o_O Wow!

Meanwhile, some claim that the 9.0 to 9.0.1 was due to issues on Macs.

Meanwhile, I'm still waiting the Firefox 10 reach on the beta update channel. Do you know the reasons behind the delay? Or is this normal?

I don't know the reason. But, informally, I feel that the beta and aurora channels get a bit off-track at around the time of the transition in major release number ( <<< DON'T comment on that ;) ).

I didn't get an Aurora update yesterday and haven't got one as yet today. I suspect that I'll have to get a fresh aurora which will then be updated "daily" for most of six weeks.

And for whatever reason, Ubuntu's software center isn't pushing out any 9.x.x version of Firefox as yet.

Let's see. I'll wait (gasp!) for a couple of days and then, if needed, head over to -http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/channel/- and download -http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/firefox-10(11).0a2.en-US.linux-i686.tar.bz2-. I prefer this version over the ppa version which doesn't have differential updates.

A post over at mozillazine deals with the Aurora issue at the time of version change:
BTW, the mozillazine forum was down for most of yesterday and is a bit dodgy today.

    edit:
BTW deux: pulling beta, aurora, and nightly builds from mozilla's ftp sites isn't an issue since the numbers are low and load-balancing issues are unlikely.

Foxscape seems fine on 9.0.1 if you're interested.

Ahhh sorry to be asking a simple question but what is this theme thingy? I don't do anything with those?

    I've gone to 9.0.1 on W7 64 bit FWIW.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I think the default is nicer. :) I went through all of the available themes, and all the ones I liked weren't compatible. Probably all the ones I didn't like were. LOL

    @twl845

I've always liked the Firefox B persona, it's close enough to default with a bit of colour added I reckon.

many add-ons do not work anymore on version 9 firefox. Specially those of language translator add-ons.

Yes, that's quite a nice theme, I've used it in the past. You may find this extension Themes Menu useful for quick changing themes. Kairo's LCARStrek is a nice dark theme as well. I like it for portables. It was originally a SeaMonkey theme & is based in part on the early Mozilla 4-8 series with an LCARS twist. Kairo does a nice Early Blue as well, although it's only for SeaMonkey at the moment.

My version of Google Translator for Firefox seems to be OK.

Thats the only one that works. others like inline translator, quick translator, etc. are not compatible.

OK, interestingly, this Quick Translator is still working in SeaMonkey 2.6.

Well I tried them all with firefox 9 and only google translator works, the rest did install but then grayed out in extension windows and shown incompatibility. I need a translator that translate lines right on the page by highlighting them and inline translator an quick translator seem to do that but not compatible.

Maybe after Xmas the devs will update your translation extensions. I'm still miffed that I have lost WOT on SeaMonkey. Firefox seems fine so far though.
