    First strike? They've struck repeatedly by infesting every possible page with their lousy ads and using every possible method to track our every move and click. It would be more accurate to call it an appropriate response to their repeating strikes. The internet will survive and would probably improve without them. They can't survive without us. That puts us in the drivers seat, if we'll take the wheel.

    What ads?

    I never see any ads ;)

    But I do notice Duckduckgo begging for Adblock opt-in.

    If they offered a guaratee that they'd never serve malware or ugly ads, and accept liability for any damage, I might consider it.
