OK, I currently have my RA server setup, I need to decommission that server and move the services to another server. I have installed RA on the new machine, backedup the database on the old machine, moved backup from old machine to new machine, restored database on new machine. After doing this the service will not run, I have to reset the database to get the service to start. I am use MS Access as the database, I would be willing to change to MS SQL, but will I run into the same issue or can I just point my new server to the MS SQL database and be done?

Start it with the era maintenance tool, it will give you the command line for repairing the server name in the database. I think its era.exe /repair_server_name or something like that

Yes, I did that I watched the dialog a little closer and it stated to do that. I have done that now I am trying to move the clients to the new server, but following the instuctions online of creating a new task doesn't seem to be working. I watch the task and it states it finishes Successfully, but actually going to the client the setting did not change. SO I am at the point of changing the Default Policy that these clients are using, but it does not give me the option to edit it. I can edit others just not the one that I want. :(
