mounting ext3-image under xp?

i wonder why i cannot mount ext3-images under xp ...
... i got it working under w2k some time ago but don't know which ext3-driver i used

now i get the usual "cannot assign a drive letter ..."

tried ext2ifs 1.10c and ext2fsd 0.31a with no luck

i use acronis trueimage 9.1 enterprise server on xp and 9.1 server on linux ...

 

just tested ...

under windows 2000 with ext2ifs 1.10c it is working very well

... but the fu..ing xp does not

Please notice that if an image contains a partition with a Linux file system, Windows will not be able to view it, as the Windows OS does not officially support Linux file systems. As a result, mounting Linux partitions as virtual drives on a Windows-based PC is not officially available.

This feature will probably be implemented in the future versions of Acronis True Image. We are sorry, but the exact time-frame is not available yet.
