Almost a year ago I have voted for an option "None". Since then I have tried few of them and ended up with ESET Mobile Security (free).
I really like :thumb: . It is the same as desktop version of their software - light and trouble-free.

Currently giving Kaspersky Internet Security (Mobile version) another try, so far so good.
Picked up a new phone with more ram, memory,as well as more processing power + a newer operating system (at least for me) so its working nice as of now.
New GUI for KIS as of late.
Still I think my favorite three so far are..
    Eset
    Kaspersky
    DrWeb
    in no particular order. :D

Never used any AV on Android, simply doesn't need one unless you use dodgy sites to get apk's from.

Anyone try Avira by chance? I just installed it tonight and so far so good. It located my phone accurately and quickly which is a plus for me. Scan times have been on the slow side, but that is ok as I don't need full scans run anyway.

Ended up ditching it for now. Seemed to cause Android OS to spike higher than I like and cause battery drain.

    Any suggestions?

Well theres a huge list in this poll, you can try a few of them. :D

I've only used Kaspersky and Avast!.
Kaspersky was fine on my GS2 but on my GS3 Kaspersky was a disaster and probably the worst app/software i've ever used (And i had a PAID LICENSE), it was really unstable and it always stopped running randomly and i had to start it again. Avast! has been flawless.

Same problem I was having with Kaspersky (older version) with HTC / ICS.
With Kaspersky (new version) and HTC / JB it's running great, no problems, no complaints.

Just installed Eset again, let's see how it goes. Really wish they had a web interface for anti-theft.

Has Avast anti-theft been accurate for you? That was my main complaint, along with slow scan times.

What happened to the old version of KAS? I bought it last year (I think) and now its gone. All I see is a free one? Did I waste 15 bucks last year? o_O

Any insights on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Any issues with Android 4.4?

Yes it's gone,no more Kaspersky Mobile Security,
    now it's Kaspersky Internet Security.

You have to install the free version from Google Play then activate the premium 30 day trial.
If the app does not recognize you already paid for it I would contact support.

Not sure as I have 4.2.2

Well Avast! has been flawless. I used it with GS3 Stock 4.1.2, GS3 Leaked 4.2.2, GS3 Official 4.3 and SlimBean Custom 4.3 without any problems at all.
The first thing i do after i install Avast! is verify thoroughly that all features work properly, specially the Anti-Theft ones

Ran into a major issue with Kaspersky which resulted in me having to factory reset my phone. At the moment, running no av again.

I think it has something to do with breaking ssl. I was unable to use any Google services, but just over wifi. Using mobile data is was fine. Go back to wifi and it was broken. No play store, hangouts etc. :(

Thanks for the reply, I'm assuming it may be your version of Android as per your earlier post of 4.4 as I have 4.2.2 with no problems but I did with ICS.
Bummer you had to go through the hassle of reseting your phone.

I did a little test with some malwares Android caught in the web site below:

    Results:

    Dr Web Light finds nothing.
    Detection at VT is OK:

~ VirusTotal Results Removed per Policy ~

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware finds nothing too.

    ESET is OK.

I've ditched 360 Mobile Security for 360 Mobile Safe.

It was just released last month and includes a few more features than 360 Mobile safe including anti-theft features.

I've used over 30 different AVs for Android and this is my favourite by far.

Thanks for the pictures. A simple explanation was more than enough. :D :thumb:
