    The story short:

A few months back i bought and installed Acronis Disk Director (with OS Selector [ver.10.0 build 2.117] ) , all went smoothly without any problems and i setup a dual boot with WinXP and FreeDos.

Now a few weeks ago i suddenly got the error described in the title when booting my machine up.
Which i then got fixed with inserting Win98 CD and running FDisk /mbr.

All fine i thought , but no , again this morning the problem occurred , again i fixed it with the above mentioned method , but my Question is why does this Configuration file suddenly dissappear ?

As far as i know i haven't done anything that could be linked with that error...

    Ps.
How do i get that Boot Screen up again ? (After FDisk /mbr , the system automatically boots to XP , no choice for FreeDOS)

You need to reactivate OSS. You can do it from Windows if you installed DD/OSS in XP. You can also do it from the rescue cd, though I've had better success doing it from Windows.

There is a newer build of DD/OSS (2,160) you might try that and see if it helps as it has been updated a little.

When you ran the Win98 FDisk /mbr you replaced the MBR with a default one. OSS was deactivated. If you still got the error message in this state, it may not be an Acronis error message.

You may want to Repair your XP using the XP boot cd instead of Win98 and see if that helps. You'll have to reactivate OSS after this too.
