I tried cloning Window 2000 Advanced Server ATA100 160GB Seagate drive to SATA 160GB Seagate drive. removed ATA100 drive.. left SATA drive in SATA 0 (zero). Made SATA controller first and ATA second.
When I booted, the SATA drive was booted from.. the the windows userid showed up OK.. but when I entered the password, the system did not accept it. just kept asking for userid/password again. All this is on the same machine which has ATA cable and 2 SATA ports on the motherboard.

    My goal is to have
    1.Windows 2003 Server (bootable on ATA100 and a SATA 1 secondary drive)
    2. Windows 2000 AS on same machine (bootable SATA 0(zero drive)).
    3. and boot either the 2000 advanced server or 2003 Server.

Why wont my password be accepted. I read about the sysprep program, but the documentation doesnt quite seem to fit this case where I am not trying to make different systems...just a backup clone of one of the systems.
Thanks in advance for your help.
