A few weeks ago we learned that Microsoft is working on a project management solution called Outlook Spaces.

Spaces is a web experience that will help you organize your emails, meetings, and docs into easy-to-follow project spaces. With Spaces, you can pull together your relevant documents, emails, and events in Outlook using search terms in a single location. You can also create to-do lists, add notes, include any relevant links and more. Once you have populated the relevant content as a project, you can invite others for collaboration. In the future, Outlook Spaces will use AI in assisting you to add items to projects in Spaces.

Superficially the service looks a lot like Trello, a project management service, but it now appears Microsoft is not just targeting corporate users.

WalkingCat has revealed that Spaces will also be available under the consumer-focussed “Live” domain, rather than the enterprise-focussed “Office” domain. At present, the service is not available at that URL yet, but it appears to be under construction.

Microsoft starts rolling out Project Moca, aka Outlook Spaces to Office Insiders

Earlier this year, we reported that Microsoft is working on a new collaboration tool within Outlook to help teams with project management. Called Outlook Spaces, the tool is a combination of multiple tools and makes it easy for teams to collaborate and work together.

Now, it looks like Microsoft has started rolling out Outlook Spaces to Office Insiders. The update adds Outlook Spaces to Outlook Web and it can be accessed by visiting outlook.com.

Currently, Microsoft is rolling out Outlook Spaces in phases to Office Insiders so not everyone will see it right away. Microsoft plans to release Spaces soon but there’s no word on when the feature will be available to everyone.

A week ago we reported that Microsoft was rolling out Outlooks Spaces, their new project management tool, to Office Insiders.
Now it appears the feature is available to most regular users also.

Outlook Spaces is a combination of multiple tools and makes it easy for teams to collaborate and work together. Microsoft declared Project Moca a success

Last year we reported that Microsoft is working on a new collaboration tool within Outlook to help teams with project management. Codenamed Project Moca, this new service can simplify your workflow. You can add tasks, goals, notes, files from OneDrive and other cloud storage providers, links, contacts, and even emails and events, all into one single dynamic space.

Project Moca was available for Microsoft 365 consumer subscribers, EDU customers, and select commercial customers as a preview and was shipped off-by-default.
Microsoft has now announced that the Project Moca trial has been a success and that they will begin migrating content from Project Moca to the new Outlook Calendar board view in July.
