The same kind of nonsense used when XP/7 thingie was all the rage. And then all the security infection percentage and such. Pointless.

I went and listened to the audio of the show.
Seems like someone had too much eggnog, "Windows 11"...Starting at about 25 minutes in.
Recorded December 23, 2015 so really, you can stay with Windows 7 at your own risk...your own peril. Makes it sound like you are playing "Russian Roulette" !

Can't wait for M$ to come out with the subscription rates for W10. Talk about angry, people will lose their minds. LOL

I've listened to the speech and it's the same as some suit from General Motors telling me my 2003 S-10 has serious problems. No OnStar. No "black box." No RFID locks/ignition. It'll never be able to network with everyone else's vehicles. It won't park itself. Or warn/act when about plow into a crowded school yard while texting. It's a wonder how I get anything done with it.

Im so depressed that Microsoft is doing this, I also run Windows 7 Professional (the trial edition since I cannot purchase it) and I have loved it but I feel hopeless that Microsoft has done this, I don't know what to run any more.

Have you tried using a different driver?

Ive already reinstalled the driver completely, still the same error.

I used Device-manager to uninstall and delete and then reinstall.

@Secondmineboy But, have you a tried using a more recent driver (or if that doesn't help an older one)?

I may try that out. But Device manager installs the optimal driver, at least thats what it says......

If you love it just run it. They will support it for next four years, by then you can make your mind.

No it won't. Often the driver installed will work fine, but in some cases there will be newer (or even older) drivers released by the device manufacturer that work better.

Go to the website of the manufacturer of the blutetooth device to see if they have driver downloads, or try using driver update software such as the excellent Driver Booster.

M$ is correct, of course -- continued use of M$7 surely means the end of all life as we know it. Just like the total extermination/extinction awaiting those, like me, who still use XP (which is still running just fine for me).

XP running just fine here too and who knows what stunt they'll finally pull to strangle it into forced obsolesence.

There is no need for MS to do anything, the hardware makers and driver programmers will take care of that in the end, unfortunately...

Wait a minute! Isn't Microsoft still supporting Windows Embedded Standard/POSReady 2009 until 2019?

Windows Embedded OSes typically get used for special-purpose devices or kiosks, including
    point-of-sale devices or inventory devices.

Windows 7 until 2020. Oops we were off by 4 years.

I bet web developers are rejoicing that they have another reason to not support older versions of internet explorer.
