I suspect this will hit Windows Update eventually. I'm not excited about the idea of rolling out a .msu file.
CVE-2020-1441 | Windows Spatial Data Service Elevation of Privilege Vulnerability Published: 06/17/2020
Do you have a WSUS server or anything? I imported it into mine. But I only have a handful of machine on 2004 build at the moment.
I do not have on on our current domain. We had one on the previous domain but as I inherited that from someone else it was not working correctly and I could not get it to do so. We don't have too many PCs so I will likely keep doing what I am doing, which is to manually update everything. In any case, thanks for the suggestion.
I have 1 PC that is still 32 bit because it is 11 years old. It still functions ok with an SSD but I update it last as it is critical to the business. It's one of those "don't fix what isn't broke" situations. All others are on 2004. No issues, at least not any that I can identify as being related to 2004. Maybe. I have 1 PC where the mouse pointer speed varies greatly between reboots. I can't prove 2004 is the issue but I can't prove it isn't.
