    I'm not sure, and certainly not about Win 10 (I don't have Win 10).

    But couldn't it be that that quote from Brinkman is particularly aimed at users of Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows 8.1 ?

    I think you got it Jan as my Win 10 x64 build 1809 is 5.812.10240.16384

    I think so, too.
    It would've been so much clearer if Microsoft had written, "Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 8.1 users can confirm they are protected by verifying that the version of jscript.dll is 5.8.9600.19230."
