Hi Ronjor, have you ever been able to find a more detailed log of what's changed/added when such an announcement on the blog has been made?
I've tried contacting the blog author by email but got no response.
Are there ever change logs available afayk?

Educated guesswork here but, most antivirus programs have periodic, routine engine updates. Updates to the engine are probably proprietary and not for public consumption. Just a notice of change that may or may not affect users.

Unless a program is radically changed for some reason, I wouldn't expect a changelog.

True of course, but when it's written; "As part of regular update of our antimalware technology to address the latest in the threat landscape, MMPC is planning to release a new antimalware engine", I think of stuff like 'ZeroAccess'.
I'd like to read what Microsoft is actually working on or what it considers important/dangerous for it's customers but that's something else, so 'changelog' is poor phrasing on my part...my bad.
