MS developers were responsible for 688 changes in the kernel source code since 2.6.36, which equals 1% of all contributions. (in 17th place).

Many would be those that 'suit' MS, like making Linux compatible as a guest in MS virtualisation solutions.

Based on number of commits it took over the past 2 or so years to finally gets its hyperv code accepted - not that impressive !

So do we have your solemn ;) assurance that you will desist from posting such threads again?

I find it hilarious that Samsung has contributed more to Linux than Google has, being the no.1 Android phone maker, yet not making Android. Hell, even Nokia has!

Yes, I hereby (solemnly) undertake never ever to post such utter nonsense again, and will conform to the high standards set by the Unix forum ..
(Here's trusting that vasa1 will desist from quoting my pledge in the unlikely event of a faux pas)
