MGM’s Epix Joins Streaming Market With Epix Now Launch

Epix Now is available as an app for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV and in Google Play for Android phones and tablets. It is expected to be available soon via Roku devices and Amazon Fire TV, with the plan roll out across other devices and platforms throughout the year. The formal launch of Epix Now was unveiled Sunday as part of Epix’s portion of the winter Television Critics Assn. press tour in Pasadena, Calif.

Last month, the MGM network Epix launched a standalone video streaming service called Epix Now. Initially, it was available on Apple TV, Android and iOS.
But as of today, it's also available on Roku and Amazon Fire TV, too. This will give more customers access to the network's four live channels, original shows and movies.

While Epix Now might be a late bloomer, its expansion to Roku and Amazon Fire TV suggest the network is pushing ahead. Earlier this week, Epix also announced it will be part of the Apple TV+ launch, so customers will be able to subscribe and watch through Apple's TV app.

Epix is the latest streaming channel to launch on Amazon Prime

MGM's premium cable network, Epix, has come to Amazon Prime for $5.99 a month.
It's also one of the more affordable channel options on Prime Video, at least compared to $10.99 a month for Showtime and $8.99 a month for Starz.

Epix Now is the same price as the Prime channel, at $6 a month, but gives viewers access to more content as it covers the network's four live channels, plus a selection of movies and original shows.
