    Does anyone use these 'Meta-Search Engines'? basically they search more than one search engine at a time giving you more results and remove duplicates.

    I've been using www.dogpile.com but does anyone know of any better?

    I have not installed any toolbars, just used the search. Seems some people have a negative view on this one, can anyone suggest any others?

    Here's an interesting one;
    http://www.kartoo.com/
    But......I've never had too much success with it! Don't think I'm bright enough! :doubt:

    About that kartoo toolbar, I don't see any privacy policy on their site, also, in their conditions of use, they don't seem to say that they will not give your personal information out to other third parties.

    This part of their conditions of use:
    [font=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] CONTESTS/CONCOURS
    From time to time, you may be invited to participate in contests or similar events. Such events may require you to submit personal information to participate.

    What do they do with the personal info that they collect. Also, I wonder what kind of contests they conduct, and why do people need to submit their personal info. This is just my opinion only, I don't know if kartoo is really safe...

    If there's one good toolbar I would recommend its the Google Toolbar. Just google for Google Toolbar. The Google Toolbar should be safe. Just check before using.

    Yeah, has anybody tried out the MSN toolbar?

    It is, however there seem to be many search bars for some of these search engines around, riddling with nasties.
