I'm setting up a new laptop. I like to have a memory status read-out in my task bar. The app I used in the past is no longer available. Can someone suggest a good app that will give me a constant reading of current memory usage?

    Hi BG.

My favorite tool is 1st clock https://www.1stclock.com/ It is a task bar clock replacement which really is cool and it has as part of the display a small bar on top that shows CPU and on the bottom that shows memory.

    Take a look. Pete

You can check out MemInfo, it's pretty good. You can also try TinyResMeter, I put it on top of my screen. I actually use both.

No problem, and yes it's a pretty handy tool. Believe it or not, it sometimes helps me in case I'm using too much RAM, the small bar will then turn red. And BTW, I don't use the memory defragmenter.

I could really use that memory defragmenter, but not for my computer (if you get my point).
