My computer has 1024MB-667MHz DDR2-667 PC2-5300 memory, and I want to know:

    1. Do the MHz matter? How high or low MHz of memory can they get?
    2. How do I know which memory sticks are low or need to be replaced?
    3. I broke a DIMM sockets, can I replace it?

    1. The MHz determines the speed of your memory. The lowest MHz will be the frequency of all your RAM. DDR2 ranges from 400 MHz to 800 MHz.
    2. By reading the labels or checking the speed on your OS using system information.
    3. Maybe you can solder it back on? Sorry, not my area of expertise.
