Hey guys my firefox usually with 4 or 5 tabs open, uses about 60,000 k give or take but for the last couple of days its been using a good bit more and its the same configuration I have always used, no changes. I noticed the increase after recently restoring my HD with Macrium. I was wondering if somehow firefox is having memory leaks and if so what can I do to fix it.

You think 60k are a lot?

    Think again:

And i didn't catch in time the 800MB memory peak when i tried to download from download.com.

Back to Firefox, Firefox used to have memory leak in v.2 when i was using it. I don't know if they fixed it. There was a trick, a boolean rule you could add to config to make it unload memory when minimized. Maybe you could google it further untill the Firefox users come.
