Memory usage of one instance of gss.exe (I have two of these processes running) is constantly increasing by 4K (roughly every 2-3 seconds). I typically exit out of GSS once the memory utilization reaches >1GB.
I am running AppDefend only (RegDefend is off) on Windows Server 2003.
Shutting down eMule practically stops the memory usage growth. It seems a certain increase in the number of "Events" as reported by GSS causes the memory utilization to increase without the memory ever being released.
This is my only gripe with an otherwise excellent product.

    Hi,
Does the increase in memory coincide with logged entries ?
If so then turning off the logging should stop the memory consumption

    seccurious,
Did the suggestion assist you at all ?

I haven't seen a memory leak with the product myself but accumulating alerts in the logging window certainly does increase memory utilisation over time

It is a relatively easy workaround to stop the logging for events that are very frequent as long as you don't mind not having log entries of course
