I searched the forum and couldn't find any mentions for this media player. I came across it moments ago. Still haven't downloaded it, though. I will give it a try.

It has a free version (lite) and a paid version. It has a pleasant GUI.

Judging by the features of the Lite version, I'd say is a bit limited in decoding support. It has no hardware acceleration support for MPEG-2, SMPTE VC-1, DivX and WMV. It offers software decoding support, though.

But, for those wanting just a capable media player with a very pleasant GUI, I'd say this is a great one. It's my opinion, only by reading the info. Nothing more than that for now.

The lite version has got something the paid one doesn't, though. Even if only limited functionality. DIGITAL TV, RECORDING AND TIMESHIFT

What do you think about it?

I LOVE Splash Lite. I've been using it for a few months now, I never regret switching to it.
