Mcafee doesn't sell VirusScan alone (for Home Users). Its only available as VirusScan Plus with firewall.

Yes, Mcafee incorporates all technology they have created or bought. From Help>About screen, I see no other copyright holder except McAfee.

Thanks for the answer. Does this apply for a stealthed computer or a closed computer or both?

    Thanks

I read the whole thing. I think I get it better now. But what's the difference between dropping inbound packets (stealth) and rejecting inbound packets (closed)?
    I know you said
But what happens when inbound packets are rejected? So does it also tell the attacker that there's a firewall, and not hide the existence of a computer?

    Thanks!

The only way to hide the existence of a computer is to physically disconnect it from network. Everything else is explained on the other thread, I'm not going to go in the circles again.

McAfee 2009 has gone final and has been provided to limited users in Australia.
It can be downloaded from http://au.mcafee.com/root/downloads.asp

Tentative date for world-wide release is September 19, 2008.
