McAfee Desktop Firewall 8.5

Just curious whether anybody is still trialing it or has purchased it, and has any updated information, complaints, or discovered anything new about it.

I'm still using it and still loving it. I've had no problems or complaints at all. It just works and works well.

Erm, used to more control with Tiny/Outpost. I think even Kaspersky's Anti-Hacker has more control. Worst thing is that you cannot trial it!

 

I like McAfee Desktop Firewall, too.

 

It's great and simple to use. All the little features in the GUI are impressive. Just don't rely on the application policy features too much.

 

hmm, McAfee Desktop Firewall is no longer available as a standalone product. its now integrated into McAfee Host Intrusion for Desktops and Servers. product evaluations are available here

 

Yes it is you need a valid grant # It is available

 

It's ok as long you don't use epo to distribute rules (local rules work perfectly)
