I deinstalled FD-ISR, just to try other boot - to - restore solutions: Drive Vaccine pc restore: but at the end of the setup process, error message appears: update mbr failed. There is a tool in the FD-ISR folder named MBRBackup. How to use it?? Is it possible to burn it in a bootable CD, because i have no floppy drive:doubt:
    Please help:'(

Boot from the Windows installation CD into the recovery console and try the built-in fixmbr.

Mayb you should also try fixboot in a similar procedure.

Why don't you restore an image ? I would have taken an image first before trying Drive Vaccine. Such an ISR-software is quite a change in your system and affects your whole harddisk.

Erik, advocating backup/imaging in the first place, this can't be enough to repeat it over and over again until we sound like a broken record. LOL :D

I had the same experience with Baseline Shield in one of my snapshots.
It was logical to me to image my system first, before I installed BS and certainly in case of combining two ISR-softwares.
Baseline Shield corrupted everything, couldn't even boot to my other snapshot.
I was glad having an image to restore my system.

By only reading the problem and disaster posts at Wilders, I know already that too many users
    1. don't have any backup software or
    2. don't have any up-to-date image or
    3. don't have any clean image or
    4. don't want to restore, because they never did it or
    5. don't have the right image to do something.
That's why they post at Wilders to repair their system, because there is no image to restore.
I often pest these users by telling them to restore an image to solve the problem, because I know already they don't have an image.

All your doing is aggrevating them and may be making them angry. That generally won't accomplish anything. There is a right way and wrong way, and the wrong way just makes them never listen to you.

It doesn't matter to me in which way they tell me things, I'm interested in what they are telling me. :)

Yes, but unless you are talking to yourself, it's better to modify your communication to fit your listener.
