This morning MBAM is generating several pop-up messages that a Malicious Website has been blocked. The message flagged Chrome\Application\Chrome exec across several ports and IP addresses.

The activity has been reported to the MBAM Forum by many users.

    Scans (MBAM included) run clean.

There has been no explanation from MBAM staff at this time.

They probably don't know about it yet.

They are aware of it and an update was pushed out but many who have the update (specifically MBAM 3.x) are complaining that the fix has not stopped the messages. I think it may have worked in V2 though.

The update: (v2017.03.02.05 for MBAM 2.x and 1.0.1403 for MBAM 3.x)

Apparently the problem was a false positive in the website database, and has been fixed. I've now got 1403 and all is quiet.

There should be a new update 1404. I've already got it.

Just to follow up, we pushed an update that fixes this. To fix the issue, simply update your copy of Malwarebytes (e.g. Malwarebytes 3.0 or Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.x) then reboot your PC.

If needed, here are the database versions that fix this:

    • Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.x Version: v2017.03.02.09
    • Malwarebytes 3 Version: 1.0.1404
If you continue to experience this issue, please let us know and confirm the database version you have installed".

Thanks for posting this emmjay. I thought it was just me, or rather just https://malwaretips.com/ as I was getting those notices only when visiting that site. Good to know it is not me, or that site.
