So what do you guys think? I used to use Maxthon way back, but they didn't support extensions and they later lost my trust because of privacy scandals. But do you guys who are into blockchain and Bitcoins think it's interesting?

This is weird as hell, why on earth didn't they switch to Chromium sooner? This is one of the reasons I dumped it back in 2006, because they kept relying on IE's Trident engine for so long and they didn't even support extensions. Well they did, but those extenions were very bare bones. But anyway, this move might make them more interesting to users in Europe and the US.

Oh, they were using a Frankenstein fork of WebKit with Blink called MxWebKit.
They recently decided to go for full Chromium.

Yes, to clarify I knew they didn't use Trident anymore, they were indeed using some weird fork, it didn't make sense to me. They should have switched to Chromium way sooner. BTW, I couldn't install it via Sandboxie, perhaps someone can post some screenshots.

BTW, I was able to install the portable version of Maxthon 6 via Sandboxie, and it seems to be quite a nice browser when it comes to GUI and settings, so seems like a nice Chromium based browser. But it was weird that you couldn't install Chrome extensions. To clarify, I didn't give it network access, so I don't know how it actually performs.
