Is it necessary to mark java, javaw as web browsers under web access protection?
I would like someone from Eset to respond. Providing a list of programs that should be marked as web browsers would also help with any protocol filtering issues.
    Thank you.

It shouldn't be neccessary as long as you use the default options (ie. HTTP checking enabled for ports and applications marked as browsers or email clients) and the applications communicate on default HTTP ports.

For added security and less annoyances, Thankful, you may turn off Java scheduler from MSCONFIG as it is not needed.
You should also disable the Quick Starter Service from services per screenshot.
