A pitty, he was/is a good guy. However it's not exactly a surprise that this happens when one kind of business culture takes over another (very small) company with their own kind of culture = big business meets small company culture, some will not fit into the new company with most likely a lot longer from workplaces to management with regards to making your voice heard on matters.

I'll give Webroot the benefit of the doubt and see what happens in the next year of my license and wishes Marco the best of luck in his new job. :)

No - he is still working with Webroot. ITSec is a company established for him and several other people that work in Italy.

    Hi all,

first of all let me say thank you so much for your kind and warm words. They really fill up my heart and I'm so pleased :)

No worries, I'm actually still working for Webroot in some way. I just changed my role in the company but I'm still doing the same stuff as usual, managing rootkit/advanced threat research and developing new anti-malware technologies.

In fact I'm going to fly to the US next week where I'll give a talk with other Webroot guys at the RMISC security conference in Denver.

    So stay tuned :thumb:

    Thank you again! :)

    Marco

thank you Marco. I consider you and Joe good friends and VERY good at what you do. If either of you left, it would be, not good. I relaize there are alot of good people at Webroot who are not known and they to are equally as important. But you and Joe are a good team, and have been for quite awhile. Joe escels at development and at customer service. You, at killing nasties.

I still own and will always hold a license for WSA as long as you 2 are there. And I really am not far off from deciding on it as a stand-alone. Another good word from IBK and I will be there, which gives you a little more time on the enhancements that Joe loses sleep about every night.:D
