I had the same problem of an earlier poster that had lost some desktop shortcuts after running MRU. I was getting a "not respoonding" message when I opened my task manager for MRU Blaster. I tried to uninstall MRU-Blaster from the "add/remove" list in my control panel, but the program is still there. What registry entries could I delete to manually uninstall it. I had to reinstall my Win 98 over the current edition, and now I can only reboot to Safe Mode. I fear my corrupted MRU Blaster is the culprit. Help!!
Not that anyone apparently cared, but my problem is solved. I restored an old registry and was able to get back to booting up in normal mode and re-established my internet connection. I re-installed MRU-Blaster over the old and then was able to uninstall it.
