   Decided to try Linux for me first time.
   Not happy so far. The board posts me IP addy when I post and they are very rood.

   Well, it looks like if you registered over there, it wouldn't default to using your IP Address as your Guest name. (I'm assuming this since the registered posts there don't seem to show IP addresses.)
