Yes, EMET and MBAE use different techniques. MBAE will detect and block exploits that bypass EMET.

With exploit shield installed I can't run any web browser at all and if a web browser is already running as soon as exploit shield is launched the browser closes. I'm running Emet along side exploit shield and I have had this problem in the past with ES.

Does the problem go away if you stop/disable EMET and/or BitDefender and/or any other security product you might have installed?

This is due to a bug in a new memory exploit check. It is fixed and the fixed build is in QA. As soon as we release it we will announce it here.

At least it was Malwarebytes and not Symantec who bought it :D

Difference is that they will not shut down the business in a year from now, but further develop and incorporate it into their lineup. :D

This is the absolute truth. We love the guys that came up with Zerovulnerabilitylabs and understand that targeting exploits (known and unknown) more directly is the best way to improve our 0hour protection against new threats.

Providing Zerovulnerabilitylabs the resources to iron out the bug and kick more ass is the plan.

One teeny thing I noticed. In Programs and Features, the Publisher for Malwarebytes Exploit Shield is "Malwarebytes", while for MBAM it is "Malwarebytes Corporation".

Nice, this seems to have fixed my disappearing tray icon issue on my W7 x64 SP1 machine. All seems to be working well.

I can confirm that Word and Excel do not open on my computer as well, although I'm not getting the same error message as Windows_Security. I'm getting the message box that Anti-Exploit has Blocked an Exploit Attempt. The other Office apps seem to be opening fine.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit 0.9.2.1200
    Windows 7 X64 Service Pack 1
    Word 2010 (32Bit Office) 14.0.6129
    Excel 2010 (32Bit Office) 14.0.6126
    Eset Smart Security 6
    Emet 4.0
    Webroot SecureAnywhere

Also same issue with Word and Excel here:

    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    Office Pro Plus 2010 x86
    Office Pro Plus 2013 x86
    EMET 4.0
    MSE

Each of Word 2010/2013 and Excel 2010/2013 cause MBAE exploit alert, which I traced to the Dymo Labelwriter add-in (dymo.labelwriteraddin). With add-in disabled, all start OK.
