1PW is correct. Couple of days ago, I tried to in place install, but would not upgrade to newest version unless uninstall and then install this version. Working fine as did the version before it.

    Hello @digmor crusher

Your system is likely so "squared away" that an over-the-top upgrade will probably show no trouble. However, if the MB4 program manger was told so by the dev team to fresh install, and you don't, one may later discover orphaned files/registry content that would have been handled by a properly administered unins000.dat file. Etc.

Thank you kindly for helping beta test.

1PW, I found their update instructions a bit confusing so I just installed over top to see what would happen, worked for me.

The release version of MB3 does still have an "offline" installer. It is more likely such an installer may follow for MB4 when the RTM is announced.

The MB4 loader URL seems to be a welcomed protection enhancement towards thwarting the proliferation of infected installers.

Not sure I understand what you mean. The installer is a full installation and contains the lastest rules as of the build (which should be daily) It will install without any type of network connection needed.
It's been this way for well over a year now

Updated from the beta but malware protection would not activate. Ran the repair tool and now all is okay

    Hi Ron,

    When I downloaded I got a "MBSetup.exe" @ 1,840 KB, not a full installer.

    Thanks.
