3.0.6.1469 is the final version. Are you referring to different versions of the component and update packages? Are you using MBv3 along with Kaspersky Internet Security?

Maybe my post wasnt clear (I'm not a native english speaker), but there were so many bugs and problems with previous versions that they should have been labeled as beta.

I am not using MBAM 3 with KIS, it was just a comparison.

By the way, how are you checking this? I don't see memory info in task manager for services.

Wow, that would be a deal-breaker for me, but good to know it's quite stable. Does this lag disappear when you disable real time protection?

Yes it does, I need to disable real time protection and close the tray icon to have my machine at full speed.

Maybe it isnt playing well with Windows Defender; I will clean install my machine and do more tests later.

I really want to stay with Windows Defender + MBAM v3 (my Emsisoft key is close to expire), but I am so OCD regarding my PC speed.

OK I see, I never use real-time protection so this wouldn't be a problem for me. Perhaps I will give MB a try, but to be honest I don't really need it, and I prefer lighter tools, 260MB of RAM is a bit too high.

Give it a try, maybe it will run nice in your setup.

I like MBAM v3 concept, it just need some fine tuning and it will be a awesome product.

IMO, MBAM with Windows Defender is a very nice security setup, just add some extensions and tweaks and call it a day.

Along with AppGuard in Lock Down mode...good to go!

Trying HItman Pro Alert in a VM. Once I get my VPN running, all set.

For now I disabled MBAM 3 real time protection, it really slow down my machine to a crawl, it is very perceptible and annoying.

It is a shame because I really like MBAM 3 concept and features, but it is too much for my "speed OCD"; I hope that new updates make it faster.

Yep! So many issues with MB v3. On my system, MB has been fine for a long time. But, who knows if all the "features" are working as promised. Awhile back, Web Protection did not do what it is supposed to do. It's just that we never tested if it does what it is in intended to do...[what] about the other modules (Exploit, Ransomware, etc.)?

MB had to redact their original post for the installment of a newer version of v3xxx. Why, because they cannot figure out how to updated the current installed version without uninstalling first. Huh? That's why they have an uninstall tool and even that does not remove EVERY remnants of MB.

    Ah,"Beating a dead horse."

    ...and the beat goes on.

How is the performance of your system with MBAM v3 real time protection on? I noticed that even DNS resolution had a massive latency increased (confirmed by DNSJumper).

I didnt know about that, the uninstall tool MUST remove everything, it is a specialized tool afterall.

Performance on my system, MB has no effect. No DNS resolution problem.

About the MB's uninstall tool, Revo Uninstaller Pro always finds remains in the Registry Hives Point in fact, run Ccleaner Registry after you use MB;s uninstall tool.

    For whom that may help:
I had a big performance issue with MBAM3 when compiling software.
Disabling the four protection modules didn't help at all, which is strange.
*The culprit was the self-protection module.*
Disabling this one made MBAM very fast, even with the four other protection modules reenabled.
This was posted on MBAM forum this morning, in a thread I had there about this issue.

Not sure what you're asking. (english is not my primary language)
Why did I try to solve my issue?

This is good to know, thanks! Turning off self-protection for better performance would be acceptable to me in order to keep real-time protections enabled. :thumb:

Thanks, with self-protection module disabled it seems that DNS latency is lower, but not much difference in overall system performance.

It has "Blocked" an installation file without asking on two distinct installations.

On one installation it gave no warning - NADA - it just blocked it.In this instance it was the WOT extension for AdGuard that, among other things, also shows the AdGuard Icon on your screen when browsing, about which there was reason to believe it was a PUP, but it was an extension I wanted to use

NB: I am using Watchdog Anti-Malwaree (zam.exe), which though a re-branded Zemana AMP for authorized US resellers may be slightly different than Zemana. For one it has no key-logger

It would like to try out and use zam for a while but don't really want anything that auto quarantined for me without asking.
