My machines have updated to this version after starting MBAM for the first time in nearly a week.

Don't they bother posting updates on their forum any more?

    Hiya Dave:

Although it may be to satisfy recent improvements in internal security, it seems burdensome to expect Malwarebytes Product Directors to tend to project clerical chores.

This is why, in good conscience, I cannot violate my long held belief that when posting statements of fact, a top-level, traceable, attribution must be sited. Whether we like it or not, our postings may be read by millions.

Ergo, if no official attributable announcement and release note is published, I will not post. Furthermore, if I cannot find, initiate and endorse a VirusTotal analysis of both installer editions, I will not post.

I would rather be silent or late versus propagating a potential embarrassment to myself and Malwarebytes Corp.

    Season's greetings, my friend.

    Hello @Krusty

It's likely you may have been treated on last Saturday morning (U.S.A. PST) to a rare and undocumented MB4 BETA weekend update.

But if it was a beta I shouldn't have received it as I don't have beta updates enabled. Anyway, I am not losing sleep over it.

    Cheers,
    Dave

I had to uninstall the Browser Guard extension from Opera because it was causing high CPU which often led to browser crashes. This occurred especially when opening many tabs.

I don't use the Browser Guards because I use WSA with it's Web Shield with Cyberlock and I use MBAM On-Demand only if necessary and I always had 4 lifetime Licenses that are still valid.
