Why:confused: Each version after has brought further improvements so it makes no sense to stay with an old version that had problems.

I'm not having problems, so I'll just wait for the auto program update.

In the time you spent placing your post you could have downloaded and installed the new version:)

My BSOD problem sure is taking a while to diagnose. I'd like a working version of 2.0 as well.

Isn't that something you need to discuss with the developers on the MBAM forums.

Yes, but I like to try here as well, since there were no responses for 10 days.

No response to a forum question, as opposed to emailing a support request?

They did respond, 10 days ago when I first posted. I guess I'll elevate it to support once my computer is back from hardware repairs.

If you, say so! ;) ...Are you registered at their site, too? I prefer to post at Wilders, even though I have posted in the forums at Malwarebytes.

My current status, after my problems referred to in

    https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=148719

I have been playing around with C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application

    Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\Configuration

I deleted the 'CONF File' and replaced it with the master.conf from C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes

    Anti-Malware

Subsequently, I then went into the settings, and reinstated updates for the database to again

    update.

So, when I click on that popup, it just comes back over and over again. But, at least I don't get

that error message..."Runtime program!..."abnormal program termination" error."

With all the encouraging preceding positive posts, I'm almost tempted to give 2.0 another try.

    From their forum:

"The program Self Protection will prevent renaming, moving, or deleting any files related to the program including shortcuts on the Desktop. If you wish to move or rename a shortcut or uninstall the program or run the MBAM Clean Removal Process then you need to first disable the Self Protection module. From Settings -> Advanced Settings -> uncheck the "Enable self-protection module" and close the program. It can also prevent or hinder installation of other Malwarebytes products so make sure to disable the Protection Module before installing other Malwarebytes programs."

Good news is. MBAM lifetime licenses sell like hotcakes on Ebay - word about 2x issues doesn't seem widespread yet.. I discovered I had 12 of them sitting in a key document of my enterprise USB. So that makes it a nice healthy sale selling them off this weekend on Ebay. I will keep one for myself - maybe.. LOL?

Thank you for your feedback, we've heard it loud and clear and you don't have to repeat it. Please contact me directly and I will give you a FULL refund; you can even go sell those licenses and make a profit.

I assure you that is not the case. If it is, please point me at which forum it was and roughly what date and I'll get to the bottom of it!

Hey everyone, sorry for taking so long to reply, we're really underwater here squashing some very rare and pesky bugs :). Hopefully 2.0.2 is a lot more stable, we've fixed a ton of issues you guys reported.

That being said, with 20+ million users, we can't just flip the switch with upgrades. We'll be doing it over a ~3-4 week time slot upgrading 2.0.1 users first and then continuing to upgrade those on 1.75 that have automatic updates on. To not participate in the upgrade, please uncheck that box under settings.

If you'd like 2.0.2 sooner, it's being served hot and fresh right off the main website :D.

Thanks again for your wonderful feedback, and if you have any issues to report I'll be around!

Rubber Ducky, I upgraded to V2.02 via the pop up in my V1.75. Flawless installation, and it performs well as far as I can tell. Looking forward to future development.

Sorry, I'll have to test again for that, and it's unlikely I will do so in the near future.

OOPS, When I booted up this morning I found 2 icons in my sys tray. If I go to customize and hide one of them, both disappear. Does anyone know how I can delete one of the icons? Thanks in advance.
