Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit

Discussion in 'other anti-malware software' started by ZeroVulnLabs, Oct 15, 2013.

  1. @erikloman Statiscally Surfright having product support without a forum has no impact on the comparison. You have to be a member on this forum to post. When you understand statistics a little, this implies that the population taken the sample of is , is the same for HPMA, MBAE and EMET. The only statistical noise is the number of members using EMET or MBAE or HPMA.

To rule that out I just looked at the number of FIXES posted. Anyone can check these to assess how those products compare on False Positives and compatibility

IMO, you should celebrate King's Day instead of post such nonsense (Bravo, editing the post you avoid at least such a miserable figure)

  3. @test, it are bare facts: EMET has the lowest False Positives and fixes, followed by some distance by MBAE which followed by a huge distance by HMPA. This month alone HPMA has 10 (edit) fixes to resolve issues/false positives. The source of this information is Surfright. So how can those bare facts be ignored as nonsence.

You realize that you tell me to celebrate Kings Day. What is the reason you are not following your own advice? BTW, I celibrated kings night ,just recovering now, not feeling miserable any more thank you.

'Dear' W_S, is it quite easy to edit content so that others can not see what you had initially written against SurfRight or myself, right?

your only goal is to spread discord, Bravo!

Se ti piace cosi', a me personalmente fai pena...

I see MBAE pushed out an update yesterday. Did this update by any chance fix the injection problems with Chrome AppContainer that has been reported here? I do not use Chrome, and was curious. I have not seen a change log yet, and the change log tends to also list changes from prior builds so it can be confusing anyways.

I guess they did:(. I'm a Premium user and I'm having a problem. Where can I download the installer for this most recent version?

I hate automatic updates! Apparently MBAE tried to update, and because I wasn't available to monitor it, some of my other security apps blocked it -- so now I have nothing at all.

Yeah, I never allow autoupdate for that very reason. There also needs to be a button to manually check for an update for that reason. I think I may have requested this in the past. You can download the installer from here. Just click on get a free trial, it's the same installer as the premium. https://www.malwarebytes.org/antiexploit/

It's the same, "1.08.1.1196". They pushed out version "1.08.1.1196" yesterday.

Got it. I thought they might have rolled out a quick patch that didn't yet get published on their change log page.

And yeah, MBAE needs the manual check for updates with the usual now/later option. I stopped trusting automatic product updates about, um let's see, two decades ago. :)

I'm having trouble with the most current version of MBAE, which was just recently released -- I can't get it to run at all. I've installed it 3 times and rebooted many more -- but nothing. For some reason, it appears that the MBAE Service won't start. It's configured to 'auto run on startup,' but NADA -- nothing.

Do I need to uninstall and try reinstalling again -- or something else?.

Yes, in theory they can also "easily" get exploited.
