    Do it yourself is a nice exercise but if you use your system for money transactions/commerce/shopping/banking you should really seriously follow the suggestions given by several users and consult specialists. If you plan anyway to format the system then you can keep playing with it. :)

    That's good advice thanks. I am well aware of log analysis, by experts, in fact I was accepted at 'Geeks to Go' school & I'm studying what you recommended. I'm doing this because I help & remove malware for my, very large, very not knowledgeable club. Currently from a club members, I've successfully removed the 'FBI money pak' virus. Most of my education regarding security, came from right here at Wilders. Many thanks for this wonderful forum!

    Regarding my wife's machine. Now I can't replicate the problem, after running HJT and removing an O2 BHO. Hopefully it won't come back. Normally the machine whenever accessed to the net is virtual, via Shadow Defender.
