    Hi,

It's OK to set permissions to "Ignore".

PS. Although the "Execute Permission" is set to "Permit", the default of "Create new processes" in the lowest priority rule (*) is set to "Ask".

Thanks a lot for the great explanation xiaolin and wat0114.

I'll register this program, It gives me the same fluent, solid protection SSM gave ! :)

Perhaps this feature request (I miss from the SSM days).
Is it possible, next to the "Allow" button, to have some dropdown menu, where we could select "Install mode" and
MD would tread the process as install and thus not generate any rules until the process is closed ?

    Thanks a lot !

    Thanks for the suggestion.

MD do not have install mode yet. You can put the installer in "Installers and updaters" group to allow all file/registry actions.
