Hello. I was wondering, if I have mail security enabled on my Exchange Server to scan for viruses, is it ok to turn off the Outlook scanning for the client computers?

If not, I was wondering why would both have to be enabled? Wouldnt mail security be constantly scanning all incoming/outgoing mail for viruses?

    Thanks!

    Hello jar1,

For one, the email protection module will scan all email on the machine after each update. It's also what's responsible for the tag appendage on sent and/or received email.

Doesnt mail security also scan all emails after update? or run daily scheduled scans?

On the server, yes. Not the ones on the clients though.
